Citigroup buys in credit fund talent

Citigroup has acquired a credit derivatives fund manager and named its two founders to run the bank's fixed-income investing business in its latest top level shake up in the wake of large writedowns in the third quarter.

Citigroup Alternative Investments, led by the recently appointed John Havens, has bought fixed-income asset manager Carlton Hill Capital, which makes non-levered investments in credit derivatives.
