Julian Mylchreest, head of European energy investment banking at Citigroup, has advised on two announced multi-billion dollar deals in the space of three days as the US bank converts long-standing debt relationships into advisory work.
The banker represented Petronas, the Malaysian national oil and gas company, on the €1.6bn ($1.8bn) purchase of a 50% working interest and joint operatorship of a gas concession in Egypt. He was in Moscow earlier in the week working for Sibneft, the Russian oil group that is set to be sold to rival Yukos for $13bn.
