Citigroup is on the verge of a hiring spree in France after recruiting Jean-Michel Steg from Goldman Sachs as senior managing director.

Citigroup has already poached Arié Flack, an investment banker at Lazard in Paris, who will join the US bank in June with the title of director, with a particular focus on the energy, power and infrastructure sectors.
