Citigroup has hired a senior dealmaker to lead a key business in Asia as it continues to poach from rivals for its investment banking build out.

The US bank has hired former JPMorgan banker Kaustubh Kulkarni as co-head of Japan, Asia North and Australia as well as Asia South investment banking coverage, according to a memo seen by Financial News. He will join in December and will be based in Singapore.
