Hisao Hirose, Citigroup's general counsel in Japan who negotiated the bank's settlement with the Japanese financial regulator last year, has joined the Tokyo office of international law firm Latham & Watkins.

Hirose, who joins Latham & Watkins as partner, has been Citigroup's general counsel in Japan since 2000.
