Citigroup is launching a pensions advisory group in London. It has hired Francis Fernandes from ABN Amro, who will be a director in the asset liability management advisory group. Matthew Bale, also from ABN Amro, will be a vice-president.

The pensions business will be part of fixed-income capital markets and report to Valentin Ehmer, head of capital markets products.
