Citigroup is launching a new team of dealmakers to focus on venture capital firms and family offices, the latest appointment within its European team servicing private equity firms and other alternative asset managers.

Toby Ali, who joined Citi in 2017 to co-head its loans and leveraged finance team in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, has been named head of VC and family offices for the region, according to an internal memo seen by Financial News.
