Citigroup’s new Málaga office sits on the Calle Marques de Larios, the main shopping strip in the Andalusian city, a stone’s throw away from its port and a 10-minute walk from its famous beaches.

Málaga’s plethora of boutique coffee shops, tapas bars and ancient architecture along marble-lined streets are a far cry from the sterile backdrop and skyscrapers near Citi’s UK headquarters in Canary Wharf. But then again, that’s the point.
