Citigroup’s top dealmaker covering private equity firms is set to depart after more than 10 years as the US bank makes a major push in to gain ground in financial sponsors. 

Anthony Diamandakis, who co-heads Citigroup’s global asset managers unit, is set to retire from the bank, according to an internal memo seen by Financial News. He is pursuing another opportunity, according to people familiar with the matter.
