City workers wanting to read emails or check how markets are doing while on the hop will soon be able to do so for free anywhere within the Square Mile, thanks to a multi-million pound project to install a public access WiFi network.

The City of London Corporation has awarded Cornerstone Telecommunications Infrastructure a 15-year contract to install and manage the new wireless network for the City, it announced today.
