City business school renamed over slave trade links

The news follows a wave of anti-racism protests and race-linked reviews in the City

A famous City of London business school is to change its name because of links between a major donor and the slave trade.

Cass Business School, so-named because of a donation by the Sir John Cass Foundation 18 years ago, announced on 6 July that it would stop using the name, following consultations about Cass’s historic links to the slave trade.
