The usual July hiring lull has failed to materialise as firms make the most of the UK's remaining time in the EU

UK finance firms rush to hire before Brexit

City employers are rushing to fill vacant positions as they, and the candidates they are chasing, scramble to make the most of the time they have left before Brexit.

July was the fourth month in a row that the number of London-based financial services jobs being advertised rose, according to recruiter Morgan McKinley Financial Services. Typically, the number of jobs advertised falls over the summer.
