Large City firms will be made to disclose the pay gap between black, Asian and other minority ethnicity staff and their white colleagues following the general election as, for the first time, all three main parties have included the pledge in their respective manifestos.

Manifestos from the three main parties, Conservative, Labour and the Liberal Democrats, have all vowed to ask “large firms” to publish pay gap data, should they take power after the election on June 8.
