Employment claims could arise 'if employees can assert that their health and safety is put in danger,' says one lawyer

Lawyers warn that City firms that opt to scrap social distancing requirements in the workplace could face a surge in employment law claims.

The warnings come after US banking giant Goldman Sachs said it was relaxing social distancing requirements for its London bankers. Goldmans' rival JPMorgan removed social distancing requirements for its London workforce as part of a reconfiguration of its UK headquarters in July.
