Boris Johnson rarely needs an introduction beyond his first name. But to City executives he remains an enigma, one that has the potential to wreak havoc on the financial services sector.

Tim Skeet, a 37-year investment banking veteran, summed up what many are thinking when he said it was clear Johnson passionately believed in leaving the European Union, but beyond that, “It’s very difficult to find out precisely what he wants.”
