City investor charged with fraud by SFO

Investigators pursued suspect for 15 months over missing millions

Nicholas Levene, the bankrupt City investor who allegedly lost millions of pounds of client money, has been charged with fraud by the Serious Fraud Office.

Levene, whose former clients included Stagecoach founders Brian Souter and Ann Gloag as well as Richard Caring, owner of restaurant The Ivy, was charged with 16 counts relating to an alleged investment fraud at London's Snow Hill police station today.
