One of the UK’s longest-serving fund management bosses has warned the City’s status as a leading global finance hub is being taken for granted, adding to growing concerns that London risks losing its edge over rival jurisdictions.

“The City is the heart of finance and is not often promoted as much as it should be as a tax generator and business generator for the country,” Saker Nusseibeh, CEO of Federated Hermes Limited told Financial News.
