The City of London Corporation has named a property lawyer as the new chair of the committee that decides whether to approve major planning applications in the Square Mile.

Alastair Moss was appointed chair of the corporation’s planning and transportation committee at its April 30 meeting. His predecessor, Chris Hayward, will become deputy, having ended his own three-year term in the top seat.
