The City jobs market cooled on all fronts in October, with a fall in both the number of professionals seeking a new job and the number of positions available.

The number of financial services jobs new to the market fell to its lowest level since May this year, but the expected sharp hit to recruitment following the Brexit vote has largely failed to materialise, the data from recruiter Morgan McKinley shows.
