The City needs to increase its use of technology to upgrade outdated systems and cut compliance costs if London is to remain competitive with global rivals, the Square Mile’s local authority has said.

Not enough banks and financial institutions are taking advantage of third-party vendors which can offer significant technological advantages, the City of London Corporation said in a 16 April report.
