The chairman of the City of London Corporation policy committee has implored the UK opposition party to "stop the banker bashing" should it win the upcoming General Election and return to a more reasoned discussion about the financial services industry.
Speaking at an event called 'The City under the Conservatives', which was hosted yesterday by the London Chamber of Commerce in association with Cicero Consulting, Stuart Fraser appealed to an audience, including shadow minister for the City, Mark Hoban, to put an end to the public flogging of financiers.
