City of London’s government introduces ‘safe space’ to tackle racism

Local authority to conclude consultation on racist statues in December

The City of London Corporation has drawn up a plan to tackle racism within the local authority.

The Corporation is looking to establish an HR policy on bullying and harassment, provide training for “key individuals across the organisation” and create a “safe space… for meetings convened to discuss tackling racism”, according to a report published on September 24. The local government body may also introduce anonymised recruitment throughout the organisation.
