City’s gender pay gap a ‘disgrace’

But FN panel says new UK pay disclosure rules will narrow the gap between what men and women earn in financial services

The gender pay gap in many parts of UK finance is a “disgrace”, but new regulations forcing companies to publish data on remuneration discrepancies between men and women will help to force change.

The was the message from panelists at an Financial News Breakfast Briefing on the future of pay in financial services, held in London on February 28 and moderated by FN columnist David Wighton.
