Leading economists and former treasury 'wise men' have joined the debate over the UK's entrance into the euro, warning the Government against early entry.

Economist Dr James Forder and professors Patrick Minford, of Liverpool University, Roger Bootle, adviser to Deloitte & Touche, and Tim Congdon, managing director of Lombard Street Research, believe the euro threatens UK economic stability.
