Clariden Leu has hired six Basel-based private client advisors from Bank Sarasin as it steps up its activities in northwest Switzerland.

Andreas Schwendeler, the most prominent hire from Sarasin, will join Clariden Leu in November to head the bank's office in Basel. The other bankers have not been named by the Zurich-based bank.
