EuroCCP, an Amsterdam-based equities clearing house, has hired a former Commerzbank executive to become its new head of technology.

The appointment of David Hatton is one of the first major appointments made by EuroCCP under the leadership of chief executive Cécile Nagel, who replaced long-term boss Diana Chan last year.
