Not many decisions by private equity bosses get the full glare of media spotlight, but one today certainly did.

Chelsea Football Club, now owned by private equity firm Clearlake Capital and business tycoon Todd Boehly, has just sacked its manager Thomas Tuchel after the team suffered a defeat in the Champions League last night.
