Clearstream hires from Bank of New York for new CEO

Clearstream, the clearing and settlement business of Deutsche Börse, has appointed Jeffrey Tessler as new chief executive, after a six-month search. Tessler had been with the Bank of New York for 25 years.

For five years he was general manager for Europe before becoming vice president of securities within the group in 2003.
