André Lussi, chief executive of Clearstream, has been suspended from the international settlement organisation in the wake of the investigation into alleged illegal activities at the firm by the Luxembourg public prosecutor.

His suspension was agreed on Tuesday at a meeting of Clearstream shareholders in Luxembourg. Carlos Salvatori, a senior director at Clearstream, and Robert Massol, head of human resources, have also been suspended for the duration of the investigation.
