Clerical Medical Investment Management, the asset management arm of HBOS, has appointed Keith Lovett as chief operating officer, thereby completing its senior management team.

Lovett joins from Prudential Pensions Management where he was operations director. He has held a number of senior positions at Prudential since joining the firm in 1973. At HBOS, Lovett will be reporting to Douglas Ferrans, chief executive.
