Clerical Medical Investment Management, the asset management arm of UK bank HBOS, has appointed Richard Wiseman to be the portfolio manager for its European equity team as part of its overall expansion strategy.

Wiseman joins the firm as a pan-European portfolio manager from HSBC Securities, where he was a general salesman on its pan-European desk. Wiseman started his fund management career with Invesco, and has also worked for Clerical Medical.
