The top earning partner at Clifford Chance earned £3.21m last year amid a boom in demand for professional advisers in a record year for M&A globally.

The profit share of the Magic Circle law firm’s highest-earning partner jumped 20% to £3.21m in the year to 30 April 2021, up from £2.67m the previous year, according to the firm’s limited liability partnership accounts which were filed at Companies House on 30 December. Clifford Chance was contacted for comment.
