Close Brothers reviews options in Italy

Close Brothers Corporate Finance (CBCF) is reviewing its relationship with Italian partner BCC Capital.

The UK advisory firm has several relationships with firms in other countries through the CloseAssociates network, and owns stakes in the French, German and Spanish firms. CBCF initially had an Italian relationship through Sofipa, an Italian advisory business, and worked closely with senior banker Enrico Duranti. A year ago, Duranti and a team of his colleagues left to start up BCC Capital, with backing from Iccrea, an Italian bank. CBCF was to maintain its Italian connections through BCC.
