Close Brothers has consolidated its position in the UK corporate finance market by advising Logica on its €600m (£370m) acquisition of PDV, the German IT company.

Close is fast developing a profitable niche in the UK telecoms and communications market. It also advises Bull, which supplies systems and integration services, Atlantic Telecom, the competitive local exchange carrier, and NSB Retail Systems.
