Depending on the industry, the speed at which cloud computing will become the standard system they operate with varies. In my universe, the capital markets, I predict cloud-hosted markets will soon be everywhere, challenging the traditional architecture of how markets are run.

Challenging the status quo is never easy. The financial services industry is used to doing business, accessing exchanges and running software in a particular way, so exchanges and other types of market infrastructure operators will need to reconcile the old way of doing business with the new way in the cloud.
