Second delay hits CME Europe launch

'Technical issues' prevent the US exchange from hitting an already revised launch date of September 29

The CME Group is postponing the launch of its European derivatives market for a second time, citing “technical issues”.

CME Europe, which will offer trading in currency derivatives when it launches, was due to open on September 29, after being unable to secure sign off from the Financial Conduct Authority and the Bank of England for its initial launch date of September 9.
