CME traders go back to school

The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), the US options exchange whose business is under threat from electronic European exchanges, has set up a new facility to teach pit traders how to deal electronically.

It will give open outcry traders the chance to try out the trading screens used by electronic exchanges across Europe as well as providing advice and education about screen-based trading.
