Cobra slams Commerzbank for plans to 'act against the interests of its shareholders'

Commerzbank refused to comment on allegations made by investment group Cobra Beteiligungs that the German bank was about to act against the interests of its shareholders in several ways.

Cobra bought a 9.9% stake in Commerzbank in April and later increased it to 17%. The statement said that Cobra was worried that Commerzbank was about to act against the interests of shareholders in the course of its negotiations with Generali.
