UK independent investment bank Collins Stewart, which last month confirmed takeover talks with a foreign suitor, has continued a recent hiring spree with the appointment of a reinsurance analyst from UBS.

Ben Cohen was part of UBS' global reinsurance research team, ranked fourth in the sector so far this year by data provider Extel. In his new role, he will lead Collin Stewart's coverage of the insurance market.
