Columbia Management, the US mutual fund manager, has hired Zach Pandl as senior interest rate strategist, a newly-created position. He will take the lead role on the firm's interest rate committee which creates and articulates Columbia's view on the interest rate policies of the US and G10 nations. Pandl was previously an economist at Goldman Sachs where he conducted research on the US economy and interest rates amongst other topics.
