Janus Henderson has appointed a global head of fixed income from rival Columbia Threadneedle — one of the most senior hires the group has made since its creation this year.

Jim Cielinski, who joined Threadneedle in 2010 from Goldman Sachs Asset Management, will join Janus Henderson in November in the same role.
