Columbia Threadneedle has rehired the head of distribution at UK asset manager Jupiter to lead its European business, four years after he left the firm.

Nick Ring will take up the post of chief executive for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Columbia Threadneedle Investments from September 23. His appointment fills the vacancy left by the departure of Michelle Scrimgeour earlier this year. She is now chief executive of Legal & General Investment Management.
