Columbia Threadneedle’s investment chief to take ‘career break’

Mark Burgess, who is also deputy global CIO, is is stepping down after nine years at the asset manager

Mark Burgess, Columbia Threadneedle’s chief investment officer for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, is to leave the asset manager and take “a career break” after nine years at the company.

Burgess, who is also deputy global chief investment officer, joined Threadneedle Investments in November 2010. He took on the deputy global chief investment officer role in 2017, partnering with Colin Moore to bring together Columbia Threadneedle’s Emea, US and Asia-based investors.
