Comdirect losses contribute to Weber exit

Losses by its overseas broking subsidiaries are thought to have cost Bernt Weber his job as head of Comdirect, Commerzbank's direct banking daughter company.

Klaus-Peter Mueller, speaker of Commerzbank's board of managing directors, made no mention of the €161m ($144.5m) pre-tax loss attributed to Comdirect last year, when he thanked Weber for his contribution to the company.
