Cominvest, the German fund management unit of Commerzbank, has poached Holger Desch, an experienced former managing director with rival Delta Lloyd Investment Managers, to take a seat on its board and target new business from insurance companies.

Desch, a former managing director of the German funds business of Schroder Investment Management, takes up the role at Cominvest at the end of the year.
