Bear Stearns has poached a five-strong Asian asset-backed securitisation (ABS) team from Commerz Securities in Tokyo.

Ross Antoci, who joins the US investment bank as a managing director, will lead the team. It will focus on originating and structuring consumer finance, residential and commercial real estate, and whole business securitisation deals in Asia.
