Today – a full three years after Commerzbank completed its takeover of Dresdner Bank – marks the start of the highly anticipated London trial over claims brought against the now-combined German bank by more than 100 former staff at investment banking unit Dresdner Kleinwort over unpaid bonus payments.
The claimants, whose cases are being heard concurrently as one of two groups dubbed the Anar and the Attrill claimants - named after two of the bankers pursuing legal proceedings - first filed proceedings in the second half of 2009. The groups are being represented by Mishon de Reya and Stewarts Law.
