Commerzbank loses top-rated strategist

Commerzbank has lost one of its few remaining top-rated analysts barely a month after its senior financial researcher left the German bank.

Rolf Elgeti, who was voted top European equity market strategist in the 2004 Thomson Extel survey, has left Commerzbank where he was head of debt and equity strategy to join ABN Amro. He has taken colleagues Ian Richards and Lars Kreckel with him. He will report to Robert Lind, chief European economist at ABN Amro.
