Commerzbank Securities has hired Darren Ward as global head of telecoms equity research, a newly-created position at the firm.

Ward was previously at Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB), where he was co-head of pan-European telecommunications research and led the wireline telecoms services research team. The team was ranked in the top three in Institutional Investor's 2002 sector rankings.
