Companies slow to act on terror

Institute of Directors warns that only a fifth of businesses have increased expenditure on preventative measures since 2001

Companies are making slow progress getting to grips with the risks of terrorism, the UK Institute of Directors has warned.

Richard Wilson, head of business policy at the IoD, said: "It is clear that since 2001 there has been an increase in expenditure. Companies are aware of the need to do something but much more needs to be done."
